The Fellowship supports young women who have been left out of the education system, helping them to learn how to read, write and have some numeracy ability as well as teaching them some sewing, knitting and embroidery skills.
It encourages twinning arrangements between the schools of the valley and the primary and secondary schools in Italy.
Skardu Vocational School
The Fellowship is supporting a program of training some ladies in sewing, knitting and embroidery skills, dedicated to the less fortunate women from Skardu and surroundings. At the end of the training the women are allowed to use the sewing and knitting machines of the school in a microcredit system, in order to give them an independent job opportunity.
Responsible for the project doctor Maria Assunta Lenotti.
